Spice-base Fragrances

Spice-base fragrances are the most exotic scent in the world of fragrances. Spice-base fragrances belong to a category of fragrances made from trees, spices, resins and other animal musk. The scent from spice-base fragrances usually has a warm, spicy, sexy, penetrating power with rich layering and long-lasting aroma characteristics.

Spice-base fragrances are suitable for both men and women. Vanilla, sandalwood and tonka beans are commonly used to make oriental fragrances. Oriental fragrances usually feature a bit of “Asian” characteristics from India, Burma, China, or even the Far East. The famous Yves Saint Laurent Opium is inspired by the incense in Chinese temples.

saffron

Saffron

Saffron is the world’s most expensive spice. It takes about 15,000 flowers to collect 100 grams of pistil as every purple crocus flower has only three stigmas, and the stigmas must be manually picked before sunrise when the flowers wither and lose the harvest value. After harvest, they must go through the process of dehydration before being sold. Although saffron is very expensive, good saffron is only needed in a very small amount when used as spice.
